From someone who has dealt with health anxiety, I can wholeheartedly say that there is nothing more powerful and life changing than to meet someone who knows exactly WHAT you are feeling, HOW you are feeling, WHAT your compulsive behaviours are, HOW you deal with your fears, someone who knows the shame and the guilt that you hold towards your own self, but also someone who has now transformed their life and with whom you can feel SAFE, SEEN and HEARD.

Yes, it is scary to go outside your comfort zone, but so is staying in it.
To me, there was nothing scarier than to continue living with health anxiety for the rest of my life. To see my health getting worse and worse. To see my mind slipping away from me daily. To see myself turn into someone I was not. To miss out on life, especially knowing how short life is.
